Moreover, low vitamin D levels common in patients with CVD may increase the risk and severity of COVID-19. This is because vitamin D increases levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines and reduces viral replication, which in turn can reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines that contribute to lung damage. Despite the lack of evidence demonstrating increased susceptibility to COVID-19, drugs used in the treatment of COPD increase the risk of respiratory tract infections to varying degrees. However, theoretically, some immunosuppressive drugs may have beneficial effects, given that the cause of death in COVID-19 is a cytokine storm leading to acute respiratory failure.
Большой проблемой является выбор наиболее оптимального лечения АГ, способного затормозить прогрессирование поражений сердца, сосудов, почек, головного мозга и глаз. Подавляющему большинству больных АГ, которые обращаются за медицинской помощью, требуется назначение комбинированной антигипертензивной терапии. При этом наиболее целесообразным на современном уровне считается применение фиксированных комбинаций таких лекарств. И пациенты, и врачи должны хорошо понять необходимость длительной терапии с периодическим контролем ключевых показателей и обязательным достижением так называемых целевых уровней АД, то есть стабильной нормализации АД. Только такой подход к лечению больных АГ может дать успешный результат. Но в настоящее время, как было указано выше, только очень небольшое количество больных АГ лечится эффективно. В этой связи в Украине не наблюдается снижение частоты осложнений данного заболевания.
5-ASA preparations have very weak immunosuppressive activity. Thus, hypertension has been and remains a very important medical and social problem that requires appropriate attention not only from healthcare institutions and medical workers, but also from the leadership of the Ministry of Health and the state. Only through the joint efforts of representatives of medical science, health care and the entire public society can it be possible to achieve an increase in the effectiveness of the fight against this disease
