Back in 2002, according to the justification of the Institute, inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) was introduced into the Immunization Calendar of Ukraine for the 1st vaccination against poliomyelitis (children continued to receive OPV for the remaining 5 doses by age). In 2006, this vaccine was also used for the second vaccination. This made it possible to first reduce and then practically stop the cases of vaccine-associated paralytic poliomyelitis in Ukraine. Since then, the issue of switching to a full IPV vaccination scheme in Ukraine has been repeatedly raised, as has been practiced for many years in all European countries, the USA, Canada, and Australia. Currently, this problem is becoming even more urgent, given both the epidemic situation and the prospects for Ukraine's accession to the EU.
Primary arterial hypertension (AH) or essential hypertension (AH) remains one of the most common cardiovascular diseases. A prolonged and persistent increase in blood pressure (BP) leads to damage to target organs, contributing to the development of severe cardiovascular complications (cerebral stroke, myocardial infarction, life-threatening arrhythmias and heart failure), kidney damage (renal failure) and vision and causes high mortality and disability of the working-age population. Annually in the world hypertension is the cause of death of more than 10 million people. In Ukraine, more than 12.6 million people are registered with this disease, or more than 35% of the population. But, among people with high blood pressure (BP), only 52% of patients know about the presence of the disease, less than a third of them are treated, and no more than 15% of patients are effectively treated.
По его словам, сейчас в больницах находится 5,5 тысячи пациентов, которым установлен диагноз коронавирусная болезнь. Из них 2300 человек находятся на кроватях, к которым подведена кислородная терапия, и большинство из них ее получают. Для предотвращения логистических проблем, еще в конце прошлого года, было выделено госфинансирование по нескольким механизмам: один в виде централизованных закупок, один в виде субвенций, предоставленных регионам для того, чтобы закупить автономные источники поставок кислорода. 15 сентября Министерство здравоохранения направило в регионы 124 608 упаковок препарата от коронавирусной болезни "Пакскловид". Лекарство назначается в первую очередь пациентам из групп риска, чтобы предотвратить сложное течение коронавирусной болезни.
When transitioning to biological therapy, subcutaneous administration should be considered to limit patient contact with the healthcare facility. Selective switching from intravenous infliximab to subcutaneous anti-TNF is not recommended as it may increase the risk of relapse. If the patient is in contact with a COVID-19 person, withdrawal of anti-TNF therapy for 2 weeks should be considered.
