Более того, низкие уровни витамина D, характерные для пациентов с ХОККом, могут повышать риск и тяжесть течения COVID-19. Это объясняется тем, что витамин D способствует увеличению уровня противовоспалительных цитокинов и снижает репликацию вирусов, что, в свою очередь, может снизить провоспалительные цитокины, способствующие повреждению легких.
